不畅销漫画家绵贯忍，和结婚15年的丈夫还有上中学的儿子住在一起，每天过着平庸且单调的日子。正决心放弃漫画的时候，过去的作品因为出了电子版而大卖，因此开始创作新作。在招聘助手的时候，与应聘前来的22岁青年橘千秋相识并渐渐被他吸引。。改编自Daphne du Maurier的小说Jamaica Inn Set in 1820 against the backdrop of the windswept Cornish moors, the story follows Mary’s journey when she is forced to live with an aunt at the eponymous inn after the death of her mother and discovers it to be the hub of a smuggling ring.。
